Naturalization according to § 10 StAG

The most important criteria for naturalization under Section 10 of the German Nationality Act (StAG) include:

1. at least 5 years of legal residence in Germany (under certain circumstances a reduction to 3 years is possible)

2. a right of residence pursuant to Section 10 Paragraph 1 No. 2 of the German Nationality Act (StAG)

3. German language skills at level B1

4. Knowledge of the legal and social system in Germany

5. secure livelihood

6. impunity
